Firing our first Glass Molds

We are so excited to try our hand at glass molds, but at the same time very nervous because we have never done this before! We started the Kiln around 2:15pm. Temperature peaked at 1450*F and held there for 30 mins. As of 7:15pm the kiln cycle is winding down to a hold at 960*, once it reaches this temp we will hold it there for about an hour, then turn the kiln off and let it cool down slowly overnight. Tomorrow morning cannot come fast enough. Too bad I have to work, I will post pictures when I get home!
